Fraud notice
Important Notice: Beware of Scammers Posing as Damteq
We’ve recently become aware of fraudulent activity where individuals are impersonating Damteq® team members and our brand. These scammers are reaching out via email, social media (including platforms like WhatsApp), and text messages, pretending to offer job opportunities or other services under our name.
What’s Happening?
In these scams, fraudsters typically offer fake employment opportunities and ask for personal details or payments.
Please note that Damteq will never ask for money or unusual, sensitive personal information as part of any hiring process.
We exclusively communicate using professional platforms like email and LinkedIn. Authentic emails from Damteq will always come from our domain @damteq.co.uk, and our official website is www.damteq.co.uk.
How to Report Suspicious Activity
If you suspect fraud, report it immediately to data@damteq.co.uk. While we review all submissions, we may not respond to individual queries.
Damteq cannot be held responsible for any losses or fees resulting from fraudulent activity.
If you believe you have been scammed, we strongly encourage you to contact your local authorities.
Spotting Fraudulent Communications
Suspicious Emails
- Genuine Damteq emails will only come from @damteq.co.uk.
- Be wary of emails with urgent requests, poor grammar, or unexpected links/attachments.
- We never use free email services such as @gmail.com or @yahoo.com to send emails or communicate with our customers/clients.
- If you’re unsure, avoid clicking on any links or downloading attachments.
- Mark any suspicious emails as spam to help prevent further scams.
Fake Text Messages
- Fraudulent texts often include shortened URLs (e.g., bit.ly) to disguise their true destination.
- They may come from unfamiliar numbers or those with unusual international prefixes not consistent with UK numbers
- Report these messages as spam through your provider.
Imposter Whatsapp Messages
- Scammers often try to move conversations to encrypted apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Fake profiles are usually new, with minimal activity or incomplete details.
- Watch out for too-good-to-be-true offers.
- If you encounter these, report the account directly on the platform.
Stay Vigilant
For your safety and security, always verify communications that claim to be from Damteq.
If in doubt, visit our official website: www.damteq.co.uk. We’re here to help protect your trust and security.
